So you’ve come up with an innovative product so you’ve set up in business for the first time.  You now need office space.  What are exactly your options and what are the advantages of each?  Location is always a top priority to ensure accessibility and credibility but there are other considerations.  How much time do you have?  How much resource do you have?  Does the thought of fitting out an office and putting in telecoms and IT systems fill you with dread?

Traditional Office Space

This type of office space is usually unfurnished and has no ad on services such as reception staff and IT systems.  This type of space usually ties you into long term contracts on average for a minimum of three years.

Managed Office

A managed office offers some of the added benefits of a serviced office but by no means all.  An advantage is that you can let on a much more flexible basis than traditional office space.

Serviced Office Space

The main advantage of serviced office is the simplicity and ease with which you can move in and set up.  You can get in immediately to a lovely, shiny new office with all the systems and furniture in place.  You have the added benefit of reception staff you can access and other resources such as cleaning staff and call handling staff.
