Why are virtual offices popular in the recession?

The number of enquiries being received on a monthly basis by virtual office providers has increased markedly during the current recession.  There are several probably reasons for this sharp rise:

•    A virtual office is ideal for small, medium or large corporate companies due to their flexibility and prestigious address
•    Costs are lower and additional services such as meeting rooms can be used and paid for on an as-and-when basis
•    The virtual office can be set up quickly almost anywhere in the world so if its virtual offices in London that are needed, for example, it can be done in a matter of days
•    New start ups resulting from the recession, such as those created by the newly redundant, will be searching for low investment options to start a company whilst they perhaps look to work from home
•    In addition, those looking to downsize due to the recession seek to use the virtual office either to allow staff to work from home or purely to keep the office address going with lower costs

As well as all these contributory factors, the virtual office has continued to receive further promotion as its presence has grown.

This is good news for the serviced offices industry too as those who have started a business using virtual offices are highly likely to use serviced offices once they are ready for physical offices.
