Health and Safety
Protecting you and your employees
Health and safety is something that everyone is aware of in the 21st century. Long gone are the days when employers could turn a blind eye to dangerous work practices. Not only has the law tightened up to make employers more responsible for the safety of their workplace but businesses now realise that a safe and healthy workplace increases productivity, improves engagement levels and reduces days lost through sickness or injury.
There are however a whole range of health and safety laws that businesses and employees need to adhere to. For small businesses the most important thing to consider is that as they grow the legislative requirements they have will increase. For example, as a company grows they will inevitably start to increase the size of their office space and it’s important that measures are taken as the growth happens to make sure that everything from fire regulations to office layout are adapted accordingly.
